About Me

Dr. Qifeng Chen is an assistant professor of CSE and ECE at HKUST. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in 2017, and a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from HKUST in 2012. His research interests are computer vision, machine learning, optimization, and computer graphics. He is named one of 35 Innovators under 35 in China in 2018 by MIT Technology Review. He won the Google Faculty Research Awards in 2018. In 2011, he won the 2nd place worldwide at the ACM-ICPC World Finals. He also earned a gold medal at IOI 2007. He co-founded the startup Lino in 2017.
